Client Overview:

We’ve carried out numerous EICRs across a variety of settings. Recently, this included:

• A 2-bedroom eco-lodge Airbnb located in a tree-top setting
• A large commercial food production facility, comprising:
  • The main food processing warehouse
  • Two additional storage warehouses
  • Two large commercial office spaces
  • A working shop and café

The Challenge:

During the inspection of the food production site, several serious safety issues were identified within the existing electrical infrastructure — faults that could have led to severe injury or worse if left unresolved.

The site was active and operating during the inspection, so all work had to be conducted with minimal disruption to production lines and day-to-day operations.

Our Solution:

We carried out a full and detailed EICR across all parts of the site and took immediate steps to:

• Rectify urgent faults safely and efficiently
• Minimise disruption to the ongoing food production process
• Work alongside engineers during an unexpected machinery failure — a key food production machine broke down mid-inspection, and we assisted in:
  • Wiring new motors into a 3-phase supply
  • Ensuring the safe and compliant reactivation of the machine

In addition, we conducted a full PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) on all relevant equipment to make sure all appliances on-site were safe for continued use — a critical step in such a high-risk environment.

Domestic Project:

The Airbnb eco-lodge, while smaller in scale, also required a thorough inspection to ensure guest safety and compliance. A full EICR and PAT testing were completed, giving the property owner peace of mind and full documentation for their holiday let requirements.
